About Branch
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established on 1st July 1949 under the Act of Parliament. The Institute is a regulatory body governing, developing and widening the scope of accounting profession in India.
ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body globally for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards.
ICAI has its headquarter at New Delhi with 5 Regional Offices at Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata and New Delhi and More than 120 Branches spread all over the country. It has also setup more than 20 Chapters abroad. Presently the ICAI has over 165000 members and more than 650000 students making it the 2nd largest accounting body in the world.
It is a matter of proud the Chandigarh is the Branch in North of India of the ICAI.
